Greta Landis

Greta's passion for agricultural food systems began early, with a love of cooking and outdoor adventures with her family in Orono, Maine (she remains an avid hiker and shrewd spatula-licker to this day). During her time at King's College and Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Greta worked in farmers markets and apprenticed on diversified organic farms in Maine and the Maritimes, completing Atlantic Canada's first curriculum-based farm apprenticeship. After receiving her BA in biology and contemporary studies, Greta worked on a number of projects in weed ecology at the University of Maine before traveling to southern Europe to intern at the Spannocchia Foundation in Siena, Italy. Her research in agroecology will focus on perennial agriculture and managed grazing on public grasslands around Wisconsin.
